The lab at Butler does over 10,000,000 tests per year and was severely understaffed given this volume. Over the course of six months, every single supervisor position as well as the lab director opened up. This was from a combination of being overworked due to the shortage and retirement. Since starting to work with Butler in June, we have filled every one of those positions, including multiple staff-level roles. The lab is now functioning as a lab of that size should, running far more smoothly than it had been before we got involved.
